I just wanted to take a moment to thank, immensely, Dr. Smith, Dell Children’s Hospital, and our great nurse LeeAnne for everything they did for Kai on Friday.
Baby Boy had an abscess that needed surgery. Dr. Smith realized my fears and eased them. Even with his kind words, my heart raced and I couldn’t stop the tears when I handed Kai over to the nurse for his surgery. My body felt empty as I waited for him to come out.
The surgery was pretty quick and Kai was back to me within 45 minutes. It wasn’t long before he flashed me his big smile.
The hospital was an amazing facility and I am thankful for all the toys and books they had to keep my 2 year old occupied while mommy had her own private freak out.
Kai is doing very well and is healing up nicely here at home.
