field of dreams | Austin Senior Photography

I met Jean when she had just turned 5 years old. I was 16 at the time and had just started dating her brother. For the first month or so, she had a hard time remembering my name. And then she wanted to hang out with me more, and for some reason always asked me to carry her. She was a tiny little thing! I saw her go off to Kindergarten and she loved school and did so well. Several years later, Peter and I married and Jean served dutifully as our flower girl.

I have two younger brothers, and over the years Jean became my sister… not just my sister-in-law. It has been such a wonderful part of my life to watch her grow from a tiny little child, to a lanky adolescent, to a beautiful young woman. I can’t believe she just started her Senior year of high school!

Recently she told me she’s taken an interest in photography… I hope she pursues it because it is one of the most creative, amazing outlets I have ever experienced. I hope these images bring her some inspiration to follow her dreams… dreams can lead us anywhere!

It’s wonderful when you have a history with someone like that. That field is perfect. Her hair blowing in the wind is great.

Wonderful pictures, I wish my efforts were half as neat…,
