I stepped out of the car on Saturday morning at the Sheraton Maui and thought, “Oh no! I left the house with my beach rubber slippers instead of my ‘work’ slippers!”. Luckily I had nothing to worry about because Mona and Sean were completely laid back and a dream to work with.

Their beautiful morning ceremony on the Black Rock lawn at the Sheraton was beautifully heartfelt and tears of happiness were shed by everyone (including me!). I got to walk the lovely grounds with them to some of my favorite places. It was such a beautiful, bright morning. The ocean was crazy blue and the moon was still up. Total perfection! Congratulations Mona and Sean!

I met Stephanie and Stephen at 7:30am at the absolutely pristine South end of Big Beach in Makena. The sun had just come over Haleakala and the light was perfect. They had a lovely ceremony officiated by the wonderful Rev. Keith Pagan.

The waves were beautiful and it was an absolutely perfect morning to get married!! Congratulations Stephanie and Stephen!

Love is in the air and wedding season has begun full swing on Maui. What a glorious, bright morning to celebrate Summer and Mark’s wedding with family and friends. We met for a late morning wedding at the beautiful beach fronting 505 Front Street in Lahaina.

Off in one direction were dense purple clouds while in the other the sun shone brightly illuminating the ocean to a brilliant aqua blue – spectacular! Summer and Mark’s beautiful ceremony was followed by pictures on the beach and brunch at Pacific’O Restaurant.

Pastor Roland and I were hanging out a bit waiting for Noelle and Scott to arrive. After getting lost and a speeding ticket (ack!), everyone arrived safe and sound and fortunately the sun hung around long enough for us to celebrate their marriage in a beautiful oceanfront ceremony at Makena Cove, Maui.

Family and friends and their adorable son, Mac, watched as Noelle and her girls walked to the ocean. Scott looked adoringly at her. That is one of my favorite wedding moments – when a groom sees his bride for the first time – just spectacular. The light of the setting sun set off an amazing lavender-blue tone to the light. Waves crashed behind them and it just couldn’t have been more perfect and more heartfelt.

After family photos I got the newlyweds to myself for a bit. These guys were such a fun group! Congratulations Noelle and Scott and adorable baby Mac!!

I’ve known Kevin for a really long time – since he was a little boy actually. So when he asked if he could hire me to photograph his intimate ceremony at Kapalua Bay last week, I jumped at the chance. Kevin is an amazing breakdancer and it’s so much fun to watch him.

It was an amazing, blue, gorgeous morning at Kapalua Bay. Kevin and Yi arrived with close family and friends and they had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by the beauty that is Kapalua Bay. After their heartfelt ceremony, they indulged me by climbing rocks and doing breakdance moves. I was one happy photographer! And Yi is so talented – she made her own dress, bouquet, head piece, and did her own makeup and nails. Gorgeous!

Cindy and James got married on a beautiful afternoon at Napili Bay. Making the day even more special was Breonna, Cindy’s daughter, who also got to wear a wedding gown and was an important part of the ceremony. The heartfelt ceremony was led by Pia Aluli, one of my favorite Maui ministers.

I loved hearing how James asked Cindy over and over to marry him. After 7  years, she finally said yes and they decided Maui was the perfect destination wedding location. Congratulations Cindy, James, and Breonna on your beautiful wedding and your family. I loved being a part of your special Maui wedding day!

It was a beautiful afternoon for Karli and Derek’s Maui Wedding. The wedding took place at Royal Lahaina Resort on the Villas lawn with the beautiful Pacific Ocean as our backdrop. Karli and Derek’s family and friends gathered to celebrate their Maui Wedding day and it was the perfect amount of people. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Laki Kaahumanu. As always, he made everyone comfortable and the ceremony was filled with both laughter and tears of joy.

Karli and Derek’s Maui Wedding was absolutely lovely. I was thrilled to capture this day for them. Loved watching them interact with each other and the way they looked at each other was so perfect. When they head back to Canada they’ll be having a formal wedding reception and I know these images will bring them lots of warmth in cold Canada.

Krystie and Carlos were married in a beautiful Maui wedding ceremony at Makena Cove. The light was absolutely dreamy – perfect for the vintage tones that we were going for.

The ceremony was lovely tucked away into the corner of the cove with the waves crashing against the lava rocks. The clouds gave us the perfect amount of shade and it just couldn’t be a more perfect afternoon for a wedding. Krystie and Carlos have been together for ten years (about time!) and run the Fright Planet Haunted Theme Park in Sacramento, California.

I love the beach. I really, really do. But in this particular spot, I also love the wild grasses that are outside the beach area right along the road. With Krystie’s beautiful little baby bump, it was also the perfect setup to celebrate their new little bundle of joy with a “BUMP” picture.

Josh and Caley are adorable together. It started raining just prior to the wedding. But they didn’t let these Hawaiian sprinkles change their plans. We headed down to Ironwood Beach for a beautiful ceremony with a dusting of Hawaiian rain and beautiful purple/pink clouds. As the sun went down, the water turned aqua and the sky turned an intense pink. It was an absolutely beautiful evening for a Maui wedding!
