This sweet family came to Maui on vacation with their adorable 11 month old daughter. It was a beautiful, bright morning on Wailea Beach and my husband Peter joined me for this session. It was a ton of fun talking story with mom and dad Eric and Cheryl and we discovered what a small world we live in – they live 3 miles away from my Grandma!
Enjoy some sneak peeks from this sweet session – I love the ones where baby is getting her feet wet – she liked her toes in the water!

Right off the bat I had so much fun photographing this family. It’s really refreshing to get to photograph a family having a great time together with their teen/adult children. They weren’t just fun, they had me cracking up through the whole session.
We started out in the Keawe forest of Palauea Beach and we didn’t realize that Steph (in the green) was sitting right next to a very active bee hive in the tree (can you spot it in the picture?). Nobody was stung, thank goodness! The afternoon light was lovely and as sunset approached, the clouds and the sunlight gave us a spectacular show – what a perfect way to end the day!
A portion of this session was donated to Hospice Maui.

There is something so special about spending an hour with a couple in love. These two were particularly adorable together. Becca and Ricky came to Maui to celebrate their second anniversary. We decided to do their photo shoot at Big Beach in Makena – it’s such an amazing stretch of sand and rocks.
Straight off, these two were lovey and sweet together. Photographers dream! Add to that an incredible afternoon light. It’s actually rare that we get a colorful sky AND an aqua colored ocean. The skies were perfect for these two. Check out some of my favorites from their romantic Maui photo session!

What to do on a rainy day when Grandma “Gams” has sent Ryenne a special handmade sweater? And the roses are blooming? Well head outside of course!
This session lasted all of two minutes before a downpour came and chased us out of the roses. But two minutes was all I needed. Love my beautiful girl. She’s getting so big already!

Mariah,
You are truly an artist with camera. My garden never looked so good. You touch an emotional chord that I haven’t seen in photography before. I am so proud to be able to work with you!
I am working on getting a model as Thursday will be the only day I can realistically work on this.
Much love,
Emi
