Little Lady was only two and a half days old. She is exquisite in every way – and so tiny.

I set up my portable heater and found good light. But every time she was away from her mom for more than a few minutes, she became uncomfortable. In her mama’s arms is truly where she was happiest. So I shifted gears from a shoot with only her and snuck in some images of her and her beautiful Mama. They are some of my very favorite. The bond they share already is so amazing – truly beautiful to witness.

Congratulations Mama on your gorgeous baby girl!

Meet little Isabella – all of 6 days old at our session and gorgeous as can be. She is such a tiny little lady. At first she was so curious about her photo session that she didn’t want to sleep. But finally, with the help of her mommy and daddy, she lulled off into dreamland. She is complete and utter perfection.

When I was welcomed into their home, I noticed an immediate and beautiful connection between them. You know how you can see a beautiful gem or piece of jewelry and it’s awe inspiring? Well this is how Rhianna looked holding her daughter. It wasn’t until later in the session that I learned that this beautiful family owns Bell and Bird Jewelry . Indeed baby Helena is the very best gem!

What a beautiful mom and baby! Rhianna I’m so glad you let me capture you and Helena together! You both are absolutely gorgeous!

But it has. My newborn has turned into a sweet little baby boy with so much love and personality. His 5 month pictures are taken in the new home studio – awesome window light for babies!

This is the newest thing he’s doing… sticking out his tongue all the time. He has the cutest little bubblegum tongue!

If you are interested in having your Austin baby session in my home studio, let me know! The session fee is reduced to $150 for home studio sessions. These sessions are limited to baby and maternity sessions only at this time.

I brought Cruz with me and he was such a good boy!

Meet brand new Nate and his mom, Kacie. I met them in their South Austin home and we did a mini session in natural light. This session is actually quite unique because it is for a project I’m doing for someone else and I was filmed and recorded voice over and everything. I was nervous!

But Kacie and Nate made it easy for me. Congratulations Kacie on your beautiful little boy!

And lastly we tried for a squishy newborn shot, but Nate was waking up and hungry. I did get one! Here he is in all his cuteness…

My own due date was quickly approaching and of course I was getting HUGE and uncomfortable. I finally heard from Amber while I was at the birth center just starting my own labor :) I can’t believe I actually answered my phone while my labor was beginning.

Turns out that Amber and baby had quite a rough journey. Amber was “super woman” and endured a 30+ hour labor. And baby Hudson had some complications and had to stay in the NICU. All around, it was a rough couple of weeks for this brand new family.

Fast forward 2 weeks and I was in no place to conduct a full newborn session. I have been exhausted nursing baby Cruz and tending to my other two kids while trying to maintain some sense of normalcy for them. So I invited Amber to come down for a “play” session at my house with Hudson and Cruz.

Hudson was so sweet and cuddly and perfect in every way. He didn’t cry even once while I had him on the bean bag. He was awake and alert and flashed his baby blues to my lens. What a sweetheart!

Congratulations Amber and Rob on your beautiful new addition!!
