A Surprise for Daddy | Steiner Ranch Photographer

I was thrilled with Samantha’s idea to surprise her husband, the daddy-to-be, with beautiful photography of her gorgeous baby belly.

Samantha is so easy to talk to and so easy going. I felt an instant connection to her when we talked about the process of I.V.F – which Peter and I also went through for Ryenne. Such a process leads to such appreciation and gratefulness for a pregnancy. Samantha is completely glowing and was amazing in front of the camera. We turned on some Christmas music and had a great time. Her dog, Arthur, was also a part of the session and he is such a sweetie pie.

I think this was one of the very first frames. I needed to test the lights so I told her to just be herself and I was only doing a “test shot” – And then she just radiated beauty and this is one of my very favorites from our session.

When Crystal filled out her questionnaire on what she wanted in her session, she noted that she wanted to have fun. Crystal is totally laid back and gorgeous. And she has an adorable belly. Our session went totally easy and fun (aside from the attack of fire ants when we went outside).

Crystal, it was an absolute pleasure. Looking forward to meeting your little guy!

I am so excited to share these images of beautiful Tammy. We had such a wonderful time chatting and listening to music while I was posing her. She is absolutely a delight to be around and I know that she and Rob will make amazing parents to their little one. I will be on cloud 9 when I get to meet their little girl and do her first newborn session.

Stork Vision!

Remember I posted earlier about being invited to two really awesome spots in Austin?

Well here’s the first one! I was invited to display my work at Stork Vision here in Austin!! Stork Vision provides parents to be with 3D and 4D ultrasound imaging – very cool. Their office is located just off of I-35 (near Woodland and Oltorff) and I had the pleasure of going in today and meeting up with them and hanging up these totally awesome 20×30 canvases!

I just sat down to write a note to the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas and include all your generous checks (as well as my own) from the last month for our GIVINGisAWESOME campaign.

I can’t even begin to tell you how proud I am – of all of us – for making such wonderful contributions to this important charity!

I am now officially beginning my slow season. Orders have all been placed for Christmas delivery and I can now sit down and design my own Christmas card (and hopefully get them out on time!).

I’ll be taking it easy the rest of the month to enjoy time with family (my brother is visiting from Maui!) and experience the magic of Christmas with my children. I’ll also be prepping some fun things that will be going into two really awesome Austin locations. I will blog about each… I am tickled to be invited to these awesome spots…. so stay tuned.

As I enter into my third trimester of pregnancy, I’m happy to announce that I will be taking the month of March completely off! But let’s not leave out January and February… so I have a little special for these months… 50% off session fee!!

I am a big, huge advocate of natural birth. In fact, the Austin Area Birth Center played a role in my family’s decision to move to Austin. I had Kai there in October, 2008, and will again be having this next baby there. It’s an amazing facility filled with amazing women who empower and teach. Each of them have touched my life.

I am thrilled to be updating their website headshots. Each visit I will be capturing a few images of each of these fabulous women. Here is the first round!

My daughter and I made this Thankful Tree this year. She helped me pick things that we were thankful for and we’ve placed many leaves on the branches… it grows daily. A new household tradition to add to our Thanksgiving Holiday Traditions.

I felt it was the perfect thing to show all of you… my clients – my friends. I am thankful for every single one of you and the joys you bring to my life.

You’ll find Sally on the cover of Austin Pregnancy Magazine this month. I was thrilled to go to her home and meet her beautiful family. Sally is expecting her 6th child. I was expecting a long shoot and trying to think of ways to keep the kids’ attention.

When I arrived, all the kids were so well behaved and sweet. Sally keeps her home so organized. The shoot was easy and lovely. And I learned so much throughout our couple of hours together that I walked away inspired.

I recently found out that I am expecting our third baby. This was a complete surprise to me and Peter as Kai was still nursing at the time. My children are my life, but I was afraid because I don’t have three hands! How can I keep my business going? How can I balance being a mother and a business owner who has to work? My mind was on overload. But when I met Sally, all of those fears melted away. She can do it. I can do it. And so I hope you pick up a copy of this months magazine and are inspired as well.
