When your body is stressed, and let's face it, we are ALL stressed, we hold onto cortisol and we store excess fat. We are stressed from our day-to-day lives and we're also stressed from environmental factors.
Our soil isn't as nutrient dense as it used to be. And even if you eat a 100% organic and grass-fed diet (like I was), you are still missing trace minerals, are exposed to herbicides and pesticides, and heavy metals (all of those lead to more stress!)
We are bombarded by toxins every single day. From the air we breathe, the food we eat, and even the products we put on our skin, our bodies are hit with more toxins than it knows what to do with.
