I have always called this man Uncle Pete. He goes way back to my Pops’ high school days when they were buddies doing water polo. I haven’t seen Uncle Pete since I was a teenager, and was thrilled when he let me know he was coming to Maui with his wife, Peggy, who is a total doll. We met for a quick shoot before they had a dinner set at Mama’s Fish House and Kuau Cove was such a beautiful location for their photos!

Maui Photographer: BLUE – Baby Beach, Maui

This Maui Photographer loves, BLUE

It could be because I recently watched the latest Ironman, but as I was editing this session I kept humming that song, “BLUE – Da Ba De” about everything being blue. I wouldn’t normally think of that song, but having recently heard it (again) and the crazy gorgeous blue of this particular Lahaina day, I figured it’d work for editing.

If you frequent my blog, you’ve seen this adorable family before. In fact, they have become very dear to me because I can now say that I have photographed them in the moments before they were married, their wedding, their couples photos, and then now as a family. And what always strikes me is that they never age. Really. They must have a secret hidden somewhere because they haven’t aged since I first met them years ago.

We met at Baby Beach in Lahaina town on a beautiful morning. Once the sun rose above the West Maui Mountains, the water and sky were so blue that no crazy amount of editing was necessary. Just a perfect Maui day with a lovely family.

Great seeing you all again – looking forward to seeing the Littles grow next time!:)XOXO

Maui Wedding Photographer: Love at White Orchid Beach House

What sweethearts these two are! I absolutely loved meeting them and photographing their very special day at the White Orchid Beach House! It was a spectacular morning, full of tons of color and purple clouds. Their vows to each other were beautiful and I think I speak for everyone when we all shed happy tears right along with them.

Maui Photographer: Beauty at Ho’okipa Lookout

Maui Photographer on Maui’s North Shore

Of all that Maui has to offer, I always get excited to shoot on the North Shore. The North Shore is home. It’s where I grew up. To me, this is Maui. The rugged coastline, the crashing waves, the tradewinds and sugarcane. This is my Maui. I was so excited when Ryan and Chelsea chose Ho’okipa Lookout for their session.

This adorable couple came to Maui to get married. They actually got married at the courthouse that morning and we met at Ho’okipa to capture their love before they headed for a romantic dinner at Mama’s Fish House. Let me tell you – these two were incredibly easy to photograph. I pretty much just observed them being themselves, captured their love and I am so thrilled with their images.

Congratulations on your life together Chelsea and Ryan! Mahalo for choosing one of my favorite places on the planet for your special evening. XOXO

Maui Babymoon Pregnancy Session: DT Fleming Beach

Maui Babymoon Session: Full of love at DT Fleming Beach

There is one thing I know for sure: Diana and Jason’s baby is going to be so loved and have so much laughter around him. These two are going to be such great parents. After spending just a couple of minutes with them, I knew this was going to be such a fun session because these two are so fun together. I loved all the laughter and playful banter between these two during their session at DT Fleming Beach.

What gorgeous light we had – beautiful waves, and golden tones to the sunset. Made for a perfect session to commemorate Diana’s pregnancy – what a gorgeous little belly she has!
