Yes it has been rather quiet on here, hasn’t it? The pregnancy now has me feeling really tired so me and the camera are taking a little break from each other. I did get this cute shot of Ryenne though. She has been such a big girl the past few weeks.
She’s been fetching diapers for me when changing Kai, asking how I’m doing, and giving me extra hugs, kisses, and love when I’m feeling lethargic. She has gone to just about every pre-natal appointment with me and enjoys hearing the heartbeat and talking about how the baby is growing. I just love her curiosity!
I promised her we’d be taking valentine’s pictures for her pre-school card exchange. She is really excited. Maybe today is the day since it finally stopped raining?

I think my brain is on overload! With my impending maternity leave I’m thinking up projects to work on that I’ve been meaning to jump on for a while. I’ll be starting out in my fresh, new office loft (soooo excited – it just needs flooring!).
I am thrilled to be offering custom framing now! It is really awesome… I can create amazing pieces of art and show previews right on the computer. Email if you’d like to see a sample. The frames come ready to hang on your wall complete with your print already inside…. easy peasy!
I’ll also be updating canvas cluster ideas. The gallery canvas’ are awesome because they don’t need a frame! Ready to hang 
And coming **hopefully** in March will be the design site. I’ve got some great cards and announcements I’m working on. Maybe this will be the year I’m actually prepared for holiday cards? One can only hope, right? Yes…. I did it. I mentioned the holidays in January. But really… August starts Holiday portrait season and that will be here before we know it!
And finally… I am a shoe fiend. Always have been. I just can’t wear heels anymore for lack of balance. But … swoon… I love her shoes.
What do you get when you mix one set of really cute parents with two adorable little boys? This sweet family! Hold on for a long post… too many great shots!!

Lots more images I’m saving for the family to see in their gallery of the kids and family images, but now let’s take a moment for mom and dad. As we set the kids up with things to do and found the perfect spot, I heard Michelle mention to Andy, “Hey, remember me?” and it’s just so true. Don’t we parents get so caught up with the kids all the time? I just love these sweet moments between the two of them. Such a beautiful couple!

Two and a half years old… such a fun, interesting age! I had a great session Saturday afternoon downtown with the cutest family. I just got all the images on the computer ready to sort through and these two images just jumped at me and said, “post me now!”
Meet Ethan. He’s two and a half and cute as can be! He wasn’t so sure about me. See on the left there? Yeah, not so sure about the crazy lady with the camera. But then… oh boy… after a nice game of peek-a-boo he showed me his sweet side. Such a cutie! More of Ethan, his baby brother Ben, and his super awesome mommy and daddy in a couple of days!
Seriously, editing her session was just soooo much fun. Yet another favorite….
I drove into Christine’s neighborhood in San Antonio and it is so beautiful. I knocked on her door and was welcomed into her home. And it was as if I were walking into a painting… her parlor off to the right was fully decorated and lovely and she herself looked like she had stepped out of a Botticelli painting.
While I brought all of my studio things, I was so happy that we could use her parlor and get some truly unique images of her in a setting that was all her own. The light poured in from a window covered in sheer curtains and while it was pouring rain outside, the room was warm and inviting.
Sophia (22 months), slept through most of our session but was such a good sport when we got her at the end and she snuggled with her mama. She is such a cutie!
I thoroughly enjoyed our session together, Christine! I’m so happy you’ll be having a little boy and can experience having one of each!

I’m 32 weeks along this week and feeling good but huge. I really wanted to do a meaningful shoot with this baby since it will be our last child. At the entrance to our neighborhood there is an open field and although the tall grass is all dormant (really it looks dead), I thought it would be a great place to play around!
Makenzi Laine came and did my makeup (LOVE HER!) and we put the kids in the car and went down to the field. I metered the light and let my husband have at it! Here’s what we came up with together and I am thrilled and so happy. I haven’t felt that pretty in a long time. Oh yes… and Ryenne was my creative art director here!!

Talk about a fun task! Picture this… 8 babies with their mama’s (and one daddy) all getting fed at the same time and then boom! Place ‘em on the couch and magic happens! This project is for the Austin Area Birthing Center – all of these babies were born there and they were so sweet and cuddly! Absolutely a delight to be part of this!

My friend Jen at J. Cota Photography asked me if I could second shoot a wedding with her. ABSOLUTELY! Jen is such a sweet person and I was thrilled to photograph a wedding with her – Texas style! Bride and groom Karinna and Jeremy were super sweet. Here’s a couple of my shots… but really I must say that Jen did such a beautiful job on their wedding.
