End-of-Life Pet Photography in Portland, Oregon

What Is End-of-Life Pet Photography?

End-of-life pet photography is about honoring the deep love you share with your pet before you have to say goodbye. These sessions are slow, gentle, and completely centered on your animal’s comfort. They can look like curling up at home in their favorite spot or taking one last walk through the park together.

Some families choose an in-home session filled with quiet cuddles and soft light. Others opt for a favorite trail or a backyard where memories live. These aren’t posed photos—they’re real moments that reflect the connection you’ve built over a lifetime together.

These sessions are not intended for euthanasia photography. I gently encourage scheduling while your pet is still comfortable and able to participate.

Session Options to Fit Your Pet’s Needs

Goodbye Session
(In-Home)

For pets who are nearing the end and spending their final days at home.
We’ll document gentle moments—cuddles on the couch, soft sniffs of their favorite blanket, you lying beside them with your hand on their paw.
This is in-home end-of-life pet photography at its most tender. Quiet. Present. Unhurried.

Final Days Together (Outdoor or Familiar Spot)

For pets who still enjoy a bit of movement or want to revisit their favorite places.
A walk through your neighborhood. A slow wander at the park. A treat from their favorite coffee shop or a final swim if they’re up for it.
We’ll move at their pace, capturing the joy that still flickers in those final days.

You’re not choosing between photos and grief. You’re choosing to honor the love while they’re still here to feel it.

Includes:
• One hour of photography
• In-home or outdoor session (within 15 miles of Portland 97227)
• My time, care, and emotional presence
• Virtual image reveal via Google Meet within 7 days of session

Your session is designed to be calm, unrushed, and completely centered on your pet’s comfort. You don’t need to stage anything or worry about how things will go. Just show up with love—I’ll take care of the rest.

These sessions are limited to 1–2 per week so I can give each family my full attention and flexibility during this emotional time.

You’ll have a virtual reveal appointment about a week after your session, where we’ll view your images together and talk through options for printed heirlooms, albums, and digital files—whatever feels right for you.

They never stay long enough. Maybe it’s because they already know what we spend a lifetime trying to learn—how to love without conditions, how to be present, how to show up every single day with joy.
Your session isn’t about “perfect photos.” It’s about honoring the kind of love only your best furry friend can give,
while they still can. If your best friend is nearing the end,
I’ll help you remember how it felt to love them.

Absolutely! These sessions are for your pet and the people who love them. We’ll document your connection in whatever ways feel truest to you.

Can I be in the photos too?

1

You’re not alone. Tears are expected - yours and mine. This is an emotional time, and there’s no need to hold anything in. These sessions are a space for whatever feelings show up.

What if I cry the whole time?

2

Yes. I adapt to each pet’s energy. I can stay hands-off and quietly observe from a distance, or engage gently if your pet is comfortable. There’s no pressure—just presence.

My pet is shy or anxious—can you still work with us?

3

We’ll schedule your virtual reveal appointment (via Google Meet) about one week after your session. That’s when you’ll view the images and decide what heirloom pieces feel right.

WHEN will I see the images?

4

Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll do everything I can to fit you in.

What if we need to book last-minute?

Every family values different things, and I want you to choose only what matters most after you’ve seen your images.

I don’t offer “digitals only” packages because these sessions are about creating something tangible and lasting—not files that sit on a device. That said, you’ll receive complimentary web-size digital files with each artwork piece you choose, so you can share your images and keep them close, on screen and in your heart.

why are prints & artwork sold individually? What if I just want digital files?

Question

I'm definitely one of those “look at the moon!” types of artists. There's beauty everywhere, especially in the quiet, in the overlooked, in the fleeting. My goal is to create art that stands the test of time - not content for social media clout.

On a more personal level, I'm a mama to teenagers, a soon-to-be wife, a college student, an animal lover, and a proud LGBTQ+ ally. My life is a vibrant tapestry of love, creativity, and a relentless drive to see the world through a different lens.

I am from Maui, and after the Lahaina fire changed everything, I relocated my family to Portland —bringing Aloha with me, and a deep understanding of how quickly life can shift. I don’t take love or memory for granted.

Photography is no longer my full-time work, which means I take on a very limited number of pet sessions each month. Each one matters deeply to me—and I want you to feel that from the moment we begin.
