Rainbows on Rainbows for Suzie and Art

Suzie and Art’s wedding full of rainbows was somewhat serendipitous. It was the amazing connection of people that brought us all together. A few years ago, I met Venetta and photographed her family, which led me to meet Michelle and photograph her family, which led to meeting Suzie – these three friends from high school have stayed connected and I was absolutely thrilled to be a part of the story of all three of these amazing women’s time here on Maui.

Even more awesome, Suzie and Art wanted to work with my husband, Peter, as their wedding officiant – this led to this feeling a lot more like a date with friends than work (pretty awesome!)

As we rolled up to Ironwood Beach in Kapalua, ominous clouds were off the coast. Kapalua is notoriously wild with it’s weather. But as you know, rain plus sun brings on rainbows, and Maui was showing off BIG TIME for Suzie and Art.

Surrounded by their close family friends and Suzie’s beautiful children, they said ‘i do’ under multiple rainbows and a soft mist of rain.
