Maui Vow Renewal
Oh my goodness I had the sweetest Maui vow renewal with Dani and Adam. These love birds from the mid-west had never been to Maui before, and figured this would be the perfect spot for a beautiful vow renewal for their fifth wedding anniversary.
I was thrilled they picked Ironwood Beach because they said they were a bit adventurous and this location does not disappoint in the adventure department.
We started with a beautiful ceremony officiated by Peter (did I mention this is my handsome hubby?!?).
Before moving on to the really adventurous parts of our hour together, I wanted to take a moment to note some awesome words from Dani…
What did you love about the location of our session?
We loved the wild lava formations, the vibrant colors and large crashing waves. We had beach and rock, it was captivating.
What was your favorite part of your vow renewal?
Touching each others foreheads, exchanging of leis, kissing of cheeks- in other words all of the Hawaiian traditions.
Was there anything you were nervous or worried about?
no 🙂 There was rain in our forecast, but we are used to rain…it rained during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day… it makes for beautiful pictures and it has become our trademark.
Any funny stories or interesting happenings?
We had a “sea dog” as our guest. LOL. It was so special since we LOVE animals, it was almost like the animal kingdom was blessing us along with mother earth.
Any advice to other couples before their photo sessions?
Trust Mariah and be open to everything!
What made you choose Mariah Milan as your Maui photographer?
Loved Mariah’s portfolio, she really captures love beautifully. She was also recommended by Maui’s Angels (Jess), our coordinator.
What do you hope your kids/family will say years down the road when looking at these images?
“Boy, did they have fun!”, “I want to go there”, “you guys look so in love”
