Maui Vacation Photographer
I asked Kari what she wanted to remember about this Maui vacation and she said, “Free time together, no crazy schedules to juggle, a family walk and game night. Snuggles and hugs… and a break from the boys fighting.” — yep, that sounds pretty similar to what I’d want too!
It was actually pretty funny because the day before our session, I got a text saying, “We’re here!” and I thought they meant they had just arrived to Maui. Vacation mode had set in and they arrived a day early for their session. They used the time wisely and played on the beach.
The following day, we had an amazing time at DT Fleming Beach. I love the ruggedness of this beach. It played in perfectly with these two active, adventurous boys! I had such an amazing time with them.

What made you decide this was the time to do a photo session? Were you marking any special occasion, etc?
We decided (or rather mom decided :)) that it had been too long since we’d had a photo shoot. Gabe was in my belly still for the last one!
What did you love about the location of our session?
The location was beautiful and wild…kind of like my kiddos.
What was your favorite part of your session?
My favorite part was probably just watching the kiddos and hugging Paul. xo
Was there anything you were nervous or worried about before the session?
Yes there were nerves beforehand! I was trying not to be self conscious and to love myself through it…
Any funny stories or interesting happenings during your session?
Our funny story was that we made it there a day early for the shoot, whoops! Better than a day late.
Any advice to other families before their photo sessions?
Advice…I’d just recommend picking a place that fits your family.
What made you choose Mariah Milan as your Maui vacation photographer?
I found Mariah online, then checked out her website/instagram and fell in love!
What do you hope your kids/family will say years down the road when looking at these images?
I’m sure the kiddos will laugh and remember how silly they were 🙂 and we will all want to go back to Maui!
