Maui Engagement Photographer

Oh how I love surprise proposals! Jacob had called me from Oahu to let me know that he and his girlfriend were coming to Maui, but he wasn’t sure the ring would be ready in time. We decided to hold the date anyway and if it worked out then it worked out. On Friday he texted to let me know that he had the ring in hand and we then proceeded to very sneakily plan the details of the proposal.

Jacob knew that Kelly was hoping for a ring on this trip and he was so sneaky! He bought her a beautiful silver plumeria necklace and the morning of the proposal they got up at sunrise and went to Haleakala where he gave her the necklace. She loved the necklace, but Jacob texted me she was pouting all day and that his plan to fool her had worked!

We strategized location with the help of google maps and me adding X’s and arrows of where everything would go down for the best light. When the time came, I was out on the lava point at Merriman’s when the two of them came out. Kelly was surprised! It was everything we had planned for! Maui gave us a stunning sunset and then they headed off to their celabratory dinner.
