You know those sessions that just get you right in the heart? The ones that really make you aware of everything and everyone around you and make you run, not walk, to the person/people you love and let them know you love them? This was one of those sessions.

A client turned friend let me know of a family she knew that was coming to Maui to celebrate the remission of their daughter’s Leukemia. Brooklyn is 6 and has gone through quite a battle with her family at her side. She’s a gorgeous little lady with so much spunk she captures your heart in an instant. Her sisters and brother are totally adorable and this family is so incredibly special.

We planned for Baby Beach and on the morning of our shoot it was POURING rain. It NEVER rains in Lahaina. We sat in our cars for a good 15 minutes and the rain finally subsided. And then something magic happened. Rainbows hung out for our ENTIRE session. It’s like a blessing from above was watching over this session and this family the entire time. It was an incredible experience for me and I’m very thankful that I got to capture this wonderful vacation moment for them.
