When Kelli wrote about her family, she told me that her mom was “the picture of selfless mom-ness” and that really struck a chord with me. Moms are awesome. And then when we met for their family session at DT Fleming, I could tell that Kelli’s parents as well as her two beautiful daughters thought the very same of her. It was an instant connection for me and this session was incredibly special.

It happened to be a very awesome 9 year olds birthday that day – so it was really fun to play on the beach. They asked me what the little nuts on the beach were and I explained that they are kukui nuts. The oil inside the nuts is known to have made candles and symbolizes light. So we fashioned a little heart in the sand and lined it with kukui nut shells – pretty awesome!
