Maui Wedding Photography by Mariah Milan

Tina and John’s wedding day was so beautiful. It started out being a little crazy. Wet crazy. It was blustery and pouring at my house. Shortly before I was getting ready to leave, I got a text from Tina that it was also pouring in Wailea, which is normally super dry. The clouds had decided to park themselves right over Wailea and Makena and were dark and ominous. As I drove closer and closer, the clouds started to shift just slightly. We decided that if the rain would let up, we’d still go ahead and I’m so glad that we did!

Tina and John actually were set to get married later in the afternoon at Makena Cove with another wedding company that included photography. The awesome thing is they decided to reserve me for before their actual ceremony so that they could have two different perspectives for their wedding day. They’ll now have images from me and also from someone else, which will no doubt be completely different. What a very special way to remember their wedding day!

Big Beach was magnificent as always. The clouds cover was gorgeous and perfect so nobody was squinting. Tina and John were exceptional – so in love. They have that perfect amount of silliness – absolutely adored working with them both. Even more special that they’re living in Austin, Texas, which we called home for a short bit. So sweet they brought us BBQ sauce from The Salt Lick! Such a nice treat!

Congratulations Tina and John! I loved working with you both! What a gorgeous, special day. So thrilled for you guys!
