As I headed up to Kapalua Bay for that mornings’ session, the clouds got darker and darker. Then big, fat rain drops started to fall. As beautiful as Kapalua is, it does rain a lot! Lucky for me this adorable family was totally fine with following me to another spot and off to sunny Lahaina we went!

I don’t photograph at this location often because it’s usually very busy in the afternoon – but morning was gorgeous and we had the place to ourselves! Wahikuli Beach is just South of Kaanapali and I LOVE the dark sand! It’s so exotic! Our session zoomed by as I learned the kids love sushi (I never would have guessed!) and love their grandpa tons! It was great meeting you all!
