Maui Wedding Photographer
Krishelle and Jonathan have one of those romantic stories… the kind that stay with you for some time. Jonathan was in Japan – a military man – and Krishelle was living in Japan. He spotted her and that was “it” for him. He was completely taken by her. They married in Japan in 2014 so that they could start the process of moving back home to Washington State and planned their formal wedding in Maui so that it was a great half-way point for Krishelle’s family and Jonathan’s family to fly to Maui to celebrate their Maui wedding all together.
The Kamehameha Suite at Honua Kai served as a beautiful backdrop for the bridal preparation, the wedding ceremony, and the dinner. I loved the variety of fabrics and textures in the suite lending themselves to beautiful backdrops and colors. I had a very special photo assistant in Krishelle’s younger brother. He was so cute walking around the room with his camera. Krishelle’s sisters assisted her in getting ready and her dad put on the veil – the final touch before she was to walk down the aisle. Of special note are Krishelle’s custom bridal shoes – they are amazing! – by Shoes of Prey as well as her custom wedding dress and veil by Anagrassia. The beautiful textures to the lace were exquisite!
The wedding ceremony started with Krishelle’s parents walking her down the aisle accompanied by Don Lax on the violin. Rev. Paul Tangonan officiated their lovely ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony we did the family formals and the DJ started playing *NSync which resulted in a massive dance off between the bridesmaids and the groomsmen – it was an absolute blast! In my opinion the girls won it! 
We then headed to Wahikuli Beach for some portraits of the two of them. This is often my favorite time. I just love soft, romantic light and a couple so in love. These two sure make each other laugh!
